This hike is one of the best I've done, and we had a great time. It's a medium-difficulty trail. We did the shorter trail, 4km, and it had couple of lookout points with breathtaking views. If you're visiting Manitoulin Island, this is a must-try adventure!

This is a one of best hikes I did and we really enjoyed it. This is a medium level difficulty trail. There are two trails, mark in red and blue. Red one is shorter one with 4 km and blue one is another 5 km. Most will do 4 km and you will see a few looks out points. Views are breath taking. There are two parking lots and parking is free but encourage to pay what you can and contribution will go to protection of nature reserve. Some areas are easy but some areas are rough, steep and need to climb stairs etc etc. Trail is marked clearly and it is very helpful. This offers scenic views and excellent photo opportunities if you are a nature photographer. Must try adventure if you are visiting to Manitoulin Island.

This is the best trail in Ontario that I have done so far! BREATHTAKING scenery as you can see nearly the whole Island from the lookout. If you are brave enough to go near the cliffs, you can take incredible pictures of yourself and others. I did the regular trail, the adventure trail, and the long trail that loops around and it took me 3-4 hours. There are cool ladders and caves that you pass by as you’re walking which is really cool! I definitely recommend anyone in Ontario to try this trail at least once.

Well maintained and marked trails. We took our dog and she was able to do it but she’s quite fit and active. There are some steep parts on the rocks and a set of steep stairs but the trail was fantastic and had some amazing views. Totally worth it and would do this one again!

A must see! Highly recommend this hike if you are very active and enjoy a challenge. Not recommended for young children and people with knee/back issues. It has steep rocky inclines.

The Cup and Saucer Trail on Manitoulin Island exceeds all expectations, offering an unforgettable hiking experience immersed in natural splendor. With well-maintained trails and breathtaking vistas, this destination is a must-visit. As you ascend the trail, prepare to be mesmerized by stunning views of forests and majestic cliffs. Reach the summit and be greeted by a magnificent panorama, perfect for capturing breathtaking photos and immersing yourself in the island's charm. The trail's diverse flora and fauna further enhance its allure, while strategically placed lookout points and resting areas provide serene moments to savor the tranquility of nature. With its secure infrastructure, the trail ensures a safe and enjoyable hike for everyone. There are a total of 2 parking lots and both of them have an entry point to start the trail. There is ample space for parking and they have also placed 2-2 dustbins and 2-2 standard portable restrooms at both the parking lots. It was very easy to find this. From the Ferry this parking lot is about 35 mins drive and the route in between is very scenic and beautiful. The route would surely look magical in the fall season. Don't miss the Cup and Saucer Trail if you find yourself on Manitoulin Island. Remember to pack essentials, wear comfortable shoes, and prepare for an incredible adventure amidst the wonders of nature. Overall, this trail is a must-see for nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts, offering unparalleled beauty and creating cherished memories.

Beautiful views once on top… one can do all the 4 lookouts following the red path. Moderate difficulty. We did it small kids and make it to all the 4 lookouts.
